OpenMontage

OpenMontage is an open-source agentic video production system. It ships production pipelines, tools, and agent skill files so a coding assistant can run research through composition. It can use stock and generated motion, narration, music, captions, and Remotion-style composition — not only still-image slideshows.

Most AI video tools stop at a clip generator. OpenMontage is built so an agent can research, script, pull assets, edit, and compose a finished piece through production pipelines and skill files. If you already live in Cursor, Claude Code, or similar and want real video output without a separate studio stack, this is the repo to watch.

Install the project, point your coding agent at the agent guide, and describe the video you want. The agent picks a pipeline, gathers or generates assets, builds a timeline, and renders a finished cut. You can start from a brief or from a reference video you already like.

Not a single model wrapper and not a manual NLE clone. It is an open production system for agents: pipelines, tools, and knowledge files aimed at finished videos with real motion workflows.
