OpenCut

Most open video editors die as demos. OpenCut is getting real use as a CapCut-style timeline without cloud lock-in, which matters if you want local control over cuts, exports, and privacy. The jump in stars is secondary. The useful part is a free timeline workflow that does not force you into one vendor.
