Utopia
Open-source enterprise world model — bitemporal knowledge graph plus ontology so agents reason on governed facts, not a flat vector dump.
Why it matters
Utopia is DeepLethe's Apache-2.0 Rust + Postgres product for offline enterprise knowledge. You get a full app (console, graph browser, ontology workbench), hybrid search, agentic RAG with tools, and a bitemporal graph where every entity and fact keeps when it held in the world and when the system changed its mind. Cold-start ontology packs (schema.org, PROV-O, FOAF, and more) grow with the corpus; temporal Datalog derives new facts with full provenance. Any OpenAI-compatible chat and embedding endpoint works, including fully air-gapped setups.
Most agent stacks still treat company knowledge as chunks in a vector store. Utopia puts time and ontology in the base layer: facts carry validity windows, conflicts surface for review, and decisions leave an audit trail on hardware you control.
How it works
Clone the repo and run docker compose --profile app up -d, then open localhost:1516 and register — first account is admin. Point system settings at your chat and embedding models, create or open a knowledge base, and ingest PDFs, office files, web, RSS, GitHub, or Jira. The built-in agent searches documents, entities, fact history, and mounted databases over multi-turn tool use. Review queues catch low-confidence merges and axiom conflicts instead of silently writing bad edges.
Not another RAG UI and not a video world simulator. The product story is knowledge governance as infrastructure: bitemporal facts, growing ontology, conflict detection, decision ledger, and Ontology2SQL over mounted Postgres so agents query docs and structured data against one shared model.
