Craft Anything
Point it at a site, app, or game, then have a coding agent rebuild your own version and check it against the original.
Why it matters
Craft Anything is an open-source (Apache-2.0 / MIT) pure-Rust engine from the ArtCraft suite. It studies websites, desktop and phone apps, games, and files with real inspection tools, then drives a local coding agent to build a new project in the stack you name. A check step compares the build to the original and refines until it is close. Default Clean room mode never reads inside the target — only what a visitor can see. Deep mode unlocks full reverse-engineering, including Ghidra when installed. Early alpha, with a desktop app, CLI, and MCP server.
Founders still reverse-engineer by hand or paste screenshots into a chat. Craft Anything turns inspection, clean-room rebuild, and visual/behaviour checks into one loop your own Claude Code session can run — so you keep the evidence trail and a real project folder, not a one-shot prompt.
How it works
Install a release build or cargo run the desktop app, or cargo install the craft-anything-cli. Sign in a local Claude Code (Codex adapter exists). Point at a URL or binary, say what you want, and start. The flow is Study → Build → Check → Ready, with approval cards for anything outside your rules. From the CLI: craft-anything-cli rebuild https://example.com "Recreate this website". Every tool is also an MCP tool via craft-anything-cli mcp, so any agent can drive the same engine without the GUI.
Not another chat wrapper that guesses from a screenshot, and not REA-style reverse-engineering alone. Craft Anything owns the full product loop: evidence-backed study, agent rebuild into a real repo, multi-width and behaviour checks, plus clean-room defaults so you can recreate without reading source you should not copy.
