ego lite

A Chromium browser built so you and AI agents share logins, but work in separate Spaces.

Why it matters

ego lite (open-source skill + free macOS app from Citrolabs) is a Chromium browser designed for humans and external coding agents to share one machine. You browse normally; agents open isolated Spaces, reuse your cookies and logins when you migrate Chrome data, and control pages through the ego-browser skill. The point is real-site automation without a blank headless browser and without hijacking the tabs you are using.

Most agent browsers either wipe your session or fight you for the same tabs. ego lite is a daily Chromium browser that imports Chrome state, gives each agent its own Space, and drives pages through in-page JavaScript instead of slow one-click tool loops. If you run Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or Hermes on a Mac and want real logged-in automation without a second headless stack, this is the product shape to watch.

How it works

Install the macOS app (Apple Silicon or Intel) or add the skill with `npx skills add citrolabs/ego-lite`. On first launch, optionally migrate Chrome logins, cookies, and extensions. In Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Hermes, or similar, run `/ego-browser` plus a plain-language task. The agent launches ego lite, works in its own Space with snapshot/click/fill/navigate JavaScript tools, and leaves your Space alone. Windows and Linux are still on the roadmap.

Not another headless library and not a closed AI browser with only its own agent. One free daily browser, Chrome state inheritance, parallel Spaces, and any external agent CLI can drive it through ego-browser with fewer tool hops than classic agent-browser style loops.
